Procurement
Specifications
•
Manufactured by thermoplastic polyether urethane (TPU) extrusion over a polyester
substrate.
All sides and edges shall be completely encapsulated.
• Hardware is to be attached to belting utilizing radio frequency (RF) welding
ONLY.
• TPU utilized during extrusion will be compliant with 29 CFR 1910.1030, having
passed
ASTM: F 1671 – 97b.
• Tensile break strength of the belting shall be no less than 1200 pounds force.
• Shear strength of RF weld shall be equal to or greater than the tensile break
strength of the belting.
• Single layer thickness of coated material shall be between .035 -.045 inches.
• Coating material shall contain ultraviolet ray inhibitors.
